Buttermilk Fried Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Marinade:

Milk
1 ½ Cup (375ML)
Lemon Juice
1 ½ Tablespoon
Dried Rosemary
2 Teaspoon
Red Chili Powder
3 Teaspoon
Salt
As per your taste
Cardamom Powder
1 Teaspoon
Ginger & Garlic Paste
2 Tablespoon
Eggs
3 No’s
Boneless Chicken Thighs

1200 Grams
For the Breading:

All Purpose Flour (Maida)
1 ½ Cup (180 Grams)
Cornstarch (Corn Flour)
1 Cup (120 Grams)
Red Chili Powder
2 Teaspoon
Garlic Powder
1 Teaspoon
Fennel Seeds (Saunf)
1 Teaspoon
Coriander Powder (Dhaniya)
2 Teaspoon
Baking Powder
2 Teaspoon
Black Pepper
One Pinch
Salt
As per your taste
Oil
For Deep Frying


Procedure for Cooking:
  • Begin by marinating the Chicken; first, add Milk in a bowl followed with the Lemon juice. Let is set for 5 minutes to form a consistency of buttermilk, now add Rosemary Seeds, Red Chili Powder, Salt, Cardamom Powder, Ginger & Garlic Paste and Eggs then mix it well with a whipper. Take Chicken Thighs now cut them into your desired shape and add them into the marinade. Cover the bowl with the packaging film and refrigerate the marinade for 4 hours.
  • Aside let’s prepare the mixture for the breading, Add All-purpose flour(Maida), Cornstarch(Corn flour), Salt, Red Chili powder, Coriander Powder, Fennel Seeds(Saunf), Baking powder and Garlic Powder. Mix this substance very well and it ready for the breading part.
  • Once the 4 hours is completed take out the Chicken marinade out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before frying it.
  • Now finally, fry the Chicken pieces at the medium heat.
  • Do not fry more than 3 - 4 pieces at a time. Overcrowding the pan with the chicken will lower the oil’s temperature and make the flour coating greasy.
  • It’s very important to maintain the level of oil temperature. Too hot oil make the Chicken pieces dark from the outside and will remain raw from inside.
  • You can fry the Chicken Pieces for 12 – 15- minutes until nicely golden brown color forms and dish them out.
  • Serve the hot crispy, crunchy and flavorful buttermilk fried chicken with garlic sauce or whatever you prefer. Especially, try this recipe for your kids I bet you that they will definitely like it.
