Badami Methi Paneer Recipe | Delish Made Food

Badami Methi Paneer is an appetizing and flavourful side dish for any special occasion. This side dish is made of paneer and rich almond gravy with an addition of fresh fenugreek leaves and cream to enhance more flavors in it.

I am sharing with you all the Badami Methi Paneer recipe with step by step procedure, along with the photos & video for your reference.


INGREDIENTS FOR BADAMI METHI PANEER 

For Badami Methi Paneer Gravy

  • 5 Medium Size – Tomatoes (Tamatar) – Roughly chopped
  • 3 – Medium Size – Onions (Pyaz) – Sliced
  • 2 Tsp – Fenugreek (Methi) Leaves Chopped
  • 1 – Bay Leaf (Tej Patta)
  • 3 – Cardamom (Elaichi)
  • 3 – Cloves (Laung)
  • 1 – Cinnamon Stick (Dalchini)
  • 1 – Mace (Javitri)
  • 5 Tsp – Oil (Tel)
For Badami Methi Paneer Finishing

  • 500 GMS – Paneer (Chhena) – Cubed
  • To Taste – Salt (Namak)
  • 1/2 Tsp – Turmeric (Haldi) Powder
  • 1 Tsp – Red Chili (Kashmiri Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp - Cumin (Jeera) Powder
  • 100 GMS – Almond (Badam) – Blend the dry almond or badam into a fine paste
  • 2 Tsp – Fresh Cream (Malai)
  • 4-5 Tsp – Coriander (Dhaniya) Leaves Chopped
  • 1 Tsp – Coriander (Dhaniya) Powder
Instruction for making Badami Methi Paneer is as follows –

1. Heat a Kadai on a lower flame, add oil – 5 teaspoons, whole garam masala saute well until it turns aromatic. Then add ginger garlic paste, saute it till the raw smell goes off.





2. Further, add 3 – medium-sized sliced onions, mix and cook it for 2 minutes. Later on add salt to taste, slit 1 – green chili piece, 5 – medium-sized tomatoes and 2 teaspoons of freshly chopped fenugreek leaves. Mix everything well and cook for 5-10 minutes by covering the lid.








3. When it turns soft and mushy, cool it completely. Then transfer the tomato and onion mixture to a blender and blend it into a smooth puree.





4. Now heat a Kadai on a lower flame, add 3 teaspoon of oil, salt to taste, red chili powder 1 teaspoon, coriander powder 1 teaspoon, turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon, cumin powder ½ teaspoon then add the paste of almond 100 gms, mix it well and cook for 2 minutes on a medium flame.









5. Afterward, add onion and tomato puree mix it well. When it starts bubbling cover the lid and cook for 10 minutes on a lower flame.



6. 10 minutes later, open the lid add 1 cup of water mix it well then put in paneer cubes of 500 gms, followed by fresh cream 2 teaspoon and top it with freshly chopped coriander leaves. Gently mix it and cook for 2 minutes by covering the lid.









7. Finally, turn off the stove and dish out the yummy and appetizing Badami Methi Paneer by garnishing it with the almonds flakes and chopped coriander leaves. 



Serve the Badami Methi Paneer with Tandoori Roti or Laccha Paratha or Any Flavoured rice.
