Serves: 2 Adult’s
Ingredients for Grilled Mutton Seekh Kebab Recipe –
250 GMS - Mutton/Gosht (ground into a coarse paste or minced)
1 - Onion (Pyaz) medium size (Roughly diced)
1/2 - Tomato (Tamatar) (Cut into half)
1 - Muslin Cloth for squeezing the onion & tomato mixture
1 Tsp - Ginger, Garlic (Adrak, Lesan) paste
Salt - To Taste
1 Tsp - Garam Masala Powder
1 Tsp - Cumin (Jeera) Powder
1 Tsp - Coriander (Dhaniya) Powder
1 Tsp - Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
1/2 Tsp - Turmeric (Haldi) Powder
2 Tsp - Coriander (Dhaniya) Freshly Chopped Leaves
1 Tsp - Mint (Pudina) Freshly Chopped Leaves
1 Tsp - Green Chilies (Hari Mirch) Chopped
100 ML - Oil (or) As Required
100 ML - Water
Veggies for grilling (optional) - Onion, Tomatoes, Gaint Green Chilies as per your choice.
Equipment Required for Grilling -
Clay Pot - Big Size
Charcoal - 1/2 KG
Skewers - As required (I have used bamboo skewers you can either use the same or any other skewer of your choice.
Instruction for making grilled mutton seekh kebab is as follows:
1. Firstly, chop the onion & tomato in a chopper. And squeeze out the extra water with the help of a muslin cloth.
2. After squeezing it, transfer the mixture into a mixing bowl. Furthermore, add coarse or minced mutton, ginger & garlic paste, salt to taste, garam masala, cumin, coriander, red chilies, turmeric powder. And also freshly chopped coriander, mint leaves along with chopped green chilies. Mix all the ingredients well.
3. Skewer the balls, wet your hands and spread the balls by pressing each along the length of the skewers to make it long kebabs, and place them on the grill. Besides this, if you wish to grill onion, tomato and green chilies then skewer as well.
4. Grill it for 15 minutes or more and apply oil occasionally whenever required to get the real golden color of the kebabs. Also, adjust accordingly when needed. And sprinkle some salt on the veggies while grilling.
5. Finally, dish out the Spicy & Flavorful Mutton Seekh Kebabs. You can accompany this dish with mint chutney and a squeeze of lemon juice on it.
Note: You may substitute mutton with any meat of your choice.
