Mutton Malai Kofta Fry Recipe

Mutton Malai Kofta Fry is one of the simple and easily made delicious, soft and appetizing dishes, that anyone wants to have it. It is made of minced lamb meat, ground spices and fresh cream which gives a rich texture that when it goes in the mouth it melts out like butter.

Mutton malai kofta fry recipe, I have got it from my grandmother, during her times she used to prepare this dish by using a grinding stone for making coarse meat and moreover, the freshly cream being used by her. However, nowadays we use advanced equipment for cooking our food. 

Today I am sharing with you all my grandmother way of cooking Mutton Malai Kofta Fry, with the step by step process along with the photos & video for your reference.

Ingredients for Mutton Malai Kofta Fry Recipe

250 GMS – Mutton/Gosht (Soft Pieces) 
1/2 Cup – Coriander Leaves Fresh
6 Pcs. – Garlic/Lesan Cloves 
Salt – To Taste 
3 Pcs. – Green Chillies/Hari Mirch 
1/4th Tsp – Raw Papaya/Papita Paste 
3 Tsp – Coconut Powder - Roasted
6 Each – Cardamom/Elaichi & Cloves/Laung 
15 No’s. – Cashew Nuts 
Oil – 4 Tsp (or) As Required

Instruction for making Mutton Malai Kofta Fry is as follows -

1. In a medium jar, add mutton soft pieces or use the minced mutton. Furthermore, add garlic cloves, green chilies, coriander leaves, raw papaya paste, salt to taste blend all the ingredients into slightly thick texture and keep aside.


  
2. Take a small jar, grind a fine powder of, coconut, cardamoms & cloves with cashew nuts.



3. Now in a mixing bowl, add the mutton mixture and the fine powder of coconut, cardamoms & cloves and cashew nuts. Mix everything well.




4. Start making desirable size meatballs by applying oil to your fingers & palm.




5. When the meatballs are ready to fry. Heat a kadai, add 4 teaspoons of oil at a lower flame. Further, add the fried golden light color onions and spread it evenly, then add the meatballs and cook for about 5 minutes by covering the lid on a lower flame.





6. Now turn the meatballs on the other side and let it fry for another 5 minutes by covering the lid.



7. After 5 minutes open the lid, add the fresh cream 3 teaspoons mix it well and cook for 2 minutes on lower heat. Finally, add the fresh coriander leaves to it and then let it dry completely.






8. Afterward, turn off the stove and dish out the delicious, soft and mouth-watering Mutton Malai Kofta Fry. Garnish it with the circled onions, lemon slice & coriander leaf and serve it with pulao, flavored rice or any supporting dish of your choice.




Note: You may substitute mutton with any meat of your choice.
