Khoya(Mawa) Paratha Recipe, An easy and quick way to make it. Mostly for the people who are so fond of sweets/desserts.

INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING PARATHA DOUGH
  • 2 Cups – Wheat Flour
  • 1 Cup – Water
  • 2 tsp – Ghee
INGREDIENTS FOR PARATHA STUFFING
  • 1 Cup (200 GMS) crumbled – Khoa (Mawa)
  • 6 tsp’s (or) According to your preference – Sugar Powder/ Icing Sugar
  • 1/4th tsp – Cardamom Powder
  • 3 tsp’s – Pistachio Flakes (Pista)
  • 2 tsp’s – Almonds Flakes (Badam)
  • 2 tsp’s – Cashew Nuts Flakes (Kaju)
  • Add little Ghee
INGREDIENTS FOR COOKING PARATHA
  • Ghee (Or) Oil as required

INSTRUCTIONS – For Kneading Dough 


  • Firstly, take a Flour mixing bowl.
  • Add 2 cups of wheat flour, 1 teaspoon of ghee mix it.
  • Now add 1 cup of water and start kneading it for 5 – 6 minutes until it becomes a soft dough.
  • Furthermore, grease the dough with 1 teaspoon of ghee and rest it for 10 – 20 minutes.
INSTRUCTIONS – For Paratha Stuffing 

  • Take a medium mixing bowl to add 1 cup (200 GMS) crumbled khoa (mawa) in it and mix it to form a smooth texture.
  • Now add 6 teaspoon’s of sugar powder/icing sugar, 1/4th teaspoon of cardamom powder, 3 teaspoons of pistachio’s flakes (pista), 2 teaspoon’s of Almonds flakes (badam) and 2 teaspoon’s of cashew nuts flakes (Kaju).
  • Mix all the ingredients well and finally, add a little ghee to the mixture and keep aside.
INSTRUCTIONS – For Paratha Stuffing and Cooking 

  • Firstly, pinch a small ball sized dough, roll about 5 inches in diameter.
  • Apply little ghee onto it and sprinkle some wheat flour.
  • Now add 2 ½ teaspoons of khoa paratha stuffing in the center and again sprinkle some wheat flour on it, by doing this dough will not get moisture and spread over while rolling it.
  • Take the edges and start pleating bringing the stuffing to center and flatten it slightly.
  • Furthermore, sprinkle some flour and gently start rolling the paratha and maintain your preferable size.
  • On the other hand side, heat a tawa add little ghee and spread it over with the help of a cooking spoon.
  • Once the tawa becomes the hot place the rolled paratha to it. Cook it and flip the paratha to other side and apply ghee and press slightly. Do the same process on another side of paratha.
  • Finally, dish out the paratha and have it.
INSTRUCTIONS – For Kneading Dough

Finally, dish out the paratha and have it.

Notes: In this recipe, I have preferred simply having Khoya Paratha instead of any add-on as I made it like a dessert kind of dish. If you guys prefer to eating the khoa paratha with any add-on you can just add butter on it.
For beginners, I recommend not to overstuff the stuffing as it may be difficult to roll the paratha.
Here I have used ghee for cooking paratha as it gives desi kind of taste. If you don’t want to use ghee you can utilize refined oil as ghee is optional.
